Reporting an incorrect rate
This is the message we most want to receive. If a figure here does not match NECC's published sheet, we will check it the same day and correct it if the error is ours.
To make that quick, include:
- The market, for example Namakkal or Kolkata
- The date shown on the page
- The rate we display, and the rate you believe is correct
- Where you saw the correct figure, if you have a source
Before writing, it is worth checking how we source our data. Some apparent errors are carried-forward rates, which are correct but easy to misread, or the normal gap between the wholesale NECC rate and a shop price.
Data and licensing requests
The underlying figures are NECC's and are publicly published. If you need them in a specific format for a commercial use, tell us what you need and what you plan to do with it, and we will tell you honestly whether we can help.
Advertising
Advertising on the site is handled through Google AdSense. Advertisers have no involvement in the rates we publish and no influence over the content.
What we cannot do
We are an independent publisher of NECC's figures, so there are things we genuinely cannot help with:
- We cannot change or influence an egg rate. NECC declares them, not us.
- We cannot sell you eggs or put you in touch with a supplier.
- We cannot forecast tomorrow's rate. Anyone who claims they can is guessing.
- We cannot answer for NECC. For anything about the committee itself, contact NECC directly.
Response times
Corrections are our priority and we aim to look at them the same day. Everything else usually gets a reply within a few working days. This is a small operation, so we would rather answer properly than quickly.
